Thame writer dedicates book to poet

A MAN from Thame has written a sequence of poems celebrating the 400th anniversary since the birth of poet John Milton.
Simon Baynes has assembled the sequence, divided into 12 sections and headed by a quotation from Milton's work, and discusses themes such as the nature of poetry and music, the form of Government, England's place in Europe, war and peace, marriage and divorce, God, Jesus Christ, and the failure of true Christianity in England - applying them to society in the present day.

The book is sponsored by The Milton Cottage Tust, and includes a foreword by the Curator, Mr Edward A Dawson.

Copies are obtainable from Moorend Press, 23 Moorend Lane, Thame, Oxon, OX9 3BQ.

Price is £5, including p&p.
