PUPILS at St Joseph's Primary School have received music awards.
The school recently held its third concert with awards in memory of former school governor Tony Brabbin.

This year the two lucky recipients of the Tony Brabbin Award for Music were Year 6 pupil Ella Clempson for her singing and cellist Rachael Godfrey, also in Year 6.

Alison Brabbin, widow of Tony, said: "There was a concert and the school's orchestra was playing. Different children performed in the afternoon and then the awards were given. They weren't for the concert, but for their work over the year."

She said her husband, who was a governor at the school for 30 years, was fond of music and was a member of Chinnor Operatic Society.
